Levine Staller Attorneys to Speak at NJSCPA Seminar

(Somers Point, NJ)  Partners Art Brown and Scott Mitnick of the law firm of Levine Staller will be the featured speakers at an upcoming breakfast seminar co-hosted by the firm and the Atlantic/Cape May Chapter of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Greate Bay Resort & Country Club in Somers Point, NJ.

Entitled “Estate Planning, Gift Tax Update and Taxation of Mortgage Foreclosures,” the program will focus on a legislative update on the Estate and Gift Tax, opportunities in estate planning created by the economy with respect to reduced asset values and low interest rates, and the taxation of mortgage foreclosures and “short sales” in real estate with an emphasis on changes made by the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007, as modified by The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.

The cost to attend is $40 per person, which benefits the NJSCPA Cape Atlantic Scholarship Program, and attendees earn 2 CPE Credits in Taxation from the NJ State Board of Accountancy.  Registration and breakfast open at 8am and the educational program runs from 8:30-10:30.
