Experiences
Therese (Terri) Keeley is a trial lawyer who has practiced for more than 28 years in the areas of products liability, pharmaceutical and mass tort litigation and commercial litigation. Her experience includes:
- Serving as lead trial counsel in 25 cases tried to jury verdicts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania state and federal courts.
- The defense of drug and medical device cases on behalf of major pharmaceutical companies in mass tort litigation pending before the Honorable Carol E. Higbee, J.S.C. in Atlantic County, New Jersey and the Honorable Sandra Mazer Moss in the Complex Litigation Center in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Cases defended included medications for hormone replacement therapy, diabetes, cough-cold medications, anti-depressants and anti-psychotics, contraceptives, breast implants and medical devices.
- Serving as liaison counsel on behalf of seventeen defendants in the Philadelphia Hormone Therapy Mass Tort Litigation.
- The defense of toxic tort, design defect, manufacturing defect, and negligence cases including asbestos, environmental exposures, industrial and outdoor power equipment, glass bottles, hair dyes, dryer fires, appliances, toys, and premises liability.
Terri has served on national trial teams and represented clients as special counsel on punitive damages claims. She was trial counsel in two seminal cases in New Jersey products liability law on the admissibility of expert testimony and on the heeding presumption in failure to warn cases. Terri also has experience in complex commercial litigation. Terri has been awarded the prestigious AV-Rating by Martindale Hubbell.
Prior to joining Levine Staller, Terri was a partner with Keeley & Callahan, P.C. (2003-2009), following a successful career at McCarter & English (1984-2003).
