Experience
Arthur Sklar focuses his practice in the area of complex real estate tax appeals and commercial real estate transactions. He is also experienced in title insurance defense and construction litigation.
Arthur's experience includes:
- Representing Atlantic City casino operators and commercial property owners in appealing their real estate tax assessments before the Atlantic County Board of Taxation and the Tax Court of New Jersey since 1988
- Representing owners and contractors in negotiation and drafting of construction contracts, construction claim disputes, litigation and arbitration involving contractual scope of work and delay damages claims
- Representing developers and property owners in complex commercial purchase, sale and loan transactions
For many years, he has been a member of the real estate sections of both the American Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Arthur joined Levine Staller in 1978 and was named a partner in 1979. He received his law degree from Villanova University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Temple University.
Arthur is a longtime member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Center of Atlantic County, a former Vice-President of the NJ Association of Jewish Federations and a member of Avoda.

Arthur and his wife Carol have been married over 40 years and reside in Linwood, New Jersey. They have three children (one of whom is a partner with the firm) and two grandchildren.
